From this? to that! Happy birthday jeep project for my son.

 From this?  to  that!
My son's pride and joy - his jeep.  For his birthday I made a chipboard jeep with an embossed metal card.

The back panel is crinkled just like the real jeep - he's a 4 wheelin adventurer :-)

I learned how to make this from Laura Denison's (Following the Paper Trail) ustream class. I modified her "Heart Beeps" truck to make a jeep.
Laura Denison is absolutely amazing!
Hubbie made the sticker inside - there is one just like it on the real jeep. The back opens up to a secret compartment where I put some birthday $money$

Happy Birthday A.J. (A.Jeep :-)

From This? to That! Hubbies latest car project ... and mine to match.

From This.........?
Hubby's latest car project and my birthday gift to him to commemorate the completion of this cute little car!
 ........ To That?
Green - my hubby's favorite color.  He painted his car green and this project matches his amazing work on his great looking, fast running car.
Altered Z using Lindy's stamp gang spray over masked front and sides.  Gears from Oriental Trading Company.  Scrabble letters, key, "z" and numbers from my stash of doo-dads.

Mixed media box for the hubby... a collage of some of his favorite things.

A cigar box -- first covered with gesso, then some crafter's workshop templates smothered in modeling paste and finally a variety of metallic paints sponged randomly over everything.  Tim Holtz embellishments along with some miscellaneous doo dads from his shop. And of course a picture of our precious grandson!
It's like a puzzle, everytime you look at it you see something different.
I call him deer, he calls me antelope :-)
Happy Birthday deer!

From this? to that! What can you make out of empty paper towel rolls?

After school I have an amazing group of kids come to the library for craft club.  We are always trying to make fun projects with doo dads from home. One of our members inspired us to make something with cut up paper towel rolls.  The kids came up with some amazing projects.  Here's my take on the idea.
This is a shadow/configuration box using cut up sections of the paper towel roll.  I randomly glued them together to make a place for an assorment of doo dads. This is one of those projects that could go on and on and on but I had to stop somewhere     :-)

Love Ms Liberty and her dress forms....

MsLiberty25 is one of my favorite crafters ever.  I followed her tutorial on you tube to make this adorbs dress form.  I modified her version a bit and love how the Romance Novel paper and embellishments came together.  I even tried her wire word technique.  Her work is far and above my efforts but she is oh, so inspirational!

MsLiberty25 altered a paper mache dress form and her beautiful white girl inspired me to create this wirey, feathery, tulley, black and silver girl.  She is one of my favorites!

I even cut out the back, as did Ms. Liberty, and filled it with doo dads.  This was a ton of fun!

My precious Prim. I made this last year after discovering crafting You Tube videos... and now I'm hooked!

I learned to make this from:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2aRpTP-6kI.   I used tattered angels sprays and alcohol ink to make the frame and flowers coordinate. The paper is from K & Co. and of course you'll see a Prima butterfly (they seem to show up everywhere :-)
