September projects...............

From this to that.  I love the little round cow cheese boxes.  I've made a few hanging decorations using them before and decided to try another one with a random bunch of stuff.  This is one of my favorite projects so far because, of course, it has feathers - hardware - sparkly stuff and wings :-)

Altered Dominos - This was a ton of fun.  I hope to make more soon!  I love this feathery headdress.

I love this stamp and had this giant flower stashed away forever.  I think she looks floralishious!

Birthday cards for my September angel friends!

I loved Miranda Edney's(MsLiberty25 on youtube) paintbrush canvas piece and decided I needed to find a bunch of something, alter it and make my own canvas. So I sparked up a lighter, bent a lot of plastic utensils and started altering.  This has to be the strangest thing I've made but, oddly enough, I kinda like it. lol.

one down ... a bunch to go!

Background - chipboard, doilies, Martha Stewart stencil, Shimmerz texture paste, script background stamp and shimmerz drippy spray.

Finally done altering these things!

The completed utensil abstract canvas.
Weird but fun :-)

A little altered easel.  It is about 6 inches high.  I put it here so that I could remember
the sweet bow I made using two oval punches bent in half.  So cutimous!

Literature Challenge Entry for Amador (Amadoreros on youtube)

As a librarian I had to join this challenge.  The theme is literature and as a subscriber you can make anything that relates to literature.  I decided to do a mini library shelf with altered book ends and three faux library books. So much FUN!!!

The altered book ends are above - really hard to see in a photo.

First Book - my favorite - The Wizard of Oz.  The faux pages are accordion folded to make a shadow box on the inside.  Again hard to see in a phot but super fun to fill with Oz characters.

Second book and another fav - The Secret Garden.  This is a window box/book with a birdie in a flower garden.  I love the paper from G45 and used the key, bow and flowers to embellish.

The last book is a biography titled "Amador An Artist". It is another faux book with a drawer on the side.

And here they are all together just waiting to be shelved and mailed to Amador :-)

Thanks for the challenge Amador - this was super fun!

A Lavendar Challenge - CraftyChica87 You Choose Challenge (You Tube)

CraftyChica87 on You Tube (Sabrina) started a two year anniversary challenge.  She will be putting the names of those that enter into a hat for a generous drawing.  I haven't posted a video on YouTube but I watch them allll of the time.  Sabrina challenged her subscribers to create either a canvas or a pennant.  I chose the pennant... some of the requirements were to use pink and/or lavender (I think lavender is her fav), include a card/tag, charms, bling, stickles etc.  depending on the project you chose.  I wanted to do this because 1) she is super inspiring, 2) I've never made something using only lavender/purple 3) I've had some beads just waiting to become charms and 4) Sabrina inspired me to try my hand at character stamps and I'm having so much fun coloring them using alcohol ink markers - she's inspired me to try a lot of things lately!!!

I kind of like how it turned out - the purple Shimmerz modeling paste in the bottom corner and the charms were my favorite elements to create.  Oh and dressing up the teddy bear too :-)

The lower three pictures are of the back - dark! but she's all boxed up and off to Vegas now so can't redo these pics.  The back is layers and layers of feather and lace trim.  I left the middle open so that I could slide in a triangle card/tag.  The top has some ring brads from SkyBluePink with tiny purple ribbon in case she hangs it up.  I hope she puts all of her entries together into a giant banner - she's received some gorgeoumous entries so far!
